Lucky is Vice President and Head of Legal for the Cellulosic Fibres Business of the Aditya Birla Group, where he heads a team of high-performing legal professionals. The Cellulosic Fibres Business, with a turnover of around USD 2.3 billion, is a diversified business engaged in the manufacturing and global sales of Man-made Cellulosic Fibres and Chemicals such as sodium sulphate, carbon disulphide, and other allied products.
With 18 years of experience in corporate laws, governance, and compliance, Lucky’s expertise spans high-value contract negotiations, complex dispute resolution, corporate restructuring, and multi-jurisdictional compliance operations. He joined the Aditya Birla Group in 2016, and has been instrumental in shaping legal strategies that drive growth, mitigate risks, and enable business transformation across multiple geographies including India, Indonesia, Thailand, China, Turkiye, Sweden, USA, Europe and Canada.
A qualified Company Secretary, with a Master of Laws (Professional) from National Law University, Delhi, a Master of Commerce, and a Bachelor of Laws, Lucky’s career includes leadership KMP roles as Head of Legal, Company Secretary, and Compliance Officer at Thyssenkrupp Electrical Steel India, Artefact Projects Limited, and Sunflag Steel Group.
Lucky’s leadership has earned him multiple accolades, including the “Inspirational Leader” award at the Aditya Birla Group Annual Legal Meet 2023 (Bangkok), the “Pride Award” for his pivotal role in expansion projects, the “Emerging Legal Tech Leader” award at the India Legal Tech Awards 2024, and recognition among the “Best Leading Lawyers” by the World IP Forum in 2022 and GC Powerlist 2025.
