I am a qualified specialist lawyer for commercial and corporate law (Fachanwalt für Handels- und Gesellschaftsrecht) with nearly 20 years of professional experience. I have been practicing law since 2005, following legal studies at the University of Hamburg, University College Cork (Ireland) and Boston University School of Law (USA), as well as legal traineeships in Hamburg and New York. I am admitted to the bar in both Germany and the State of New York.
My professional career spans private practice and in-house leadership roles. I initially advised companies on all aspects of commercial law as an associate in England and later as a partner in a leading commercial law firm in Frankfurt am Main. I subsequently joined Daimler AG, where I focused on global litigation, in particular product liability matters and U.S. class actions.
Since 2018, I have been serving as Division General Counsel (Global Procurement) at BASF SE, advising the Global Procurement organisation and senior management on legal and commercial issues across all aspects of global procurement.
In addition to my advisory work, I regularly design and deliver trainings and workshops for companies and business professionals, focusing on commercial law, contract management, procurement law, litigation risk management and cross-border legal topics.
