Front end commercial, consumer and financial services In-house Lawyer with over 20 years experience, providing management and legal support across the Asia Pacific including: Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia and Australia.
My career began in 2002 providing large-scale litigation and administrative law representation and Legal Advice to Commonwealth Agencies. This foundation allowed me to transition into private practice, focusing on litigation and dispute resolution within the Commonwealth Government, Financial Services and Commercial industries.
In 2013, I moved In-house focusing on front-end financial services, corporate, and commercial law and privacy. I have worked with ASX listed companies, a national Australian bank, a global insurer ranked #78th on the USA Fortune 100 list of largest corporations and now as General Counsel for a market leading Australian owned provider of innovative retail consumer goods across ANZ. I have successfully led and built legal teams and supported Asia-Pacific businesses in managing and mitigating risk and advising Executives, Boards and Senior Management on a range of legal matters relevant to their operations, scale and complexity.
Integral to all my In-house roles is being part of the leadership group and working with key stakeholders and executive management to drive business growth whilst ensuring regulatory and legal compliance. My passion for privacy draws me to the intersection of business, legal, and technology where I thrive. My other passion is leading legal teams and facilitating their integration into the business, as trusted business advisors.
