Ana-Maria Baciu is a Romanian-qualified lawyer and a trusted business partner to Metka EGN, part of the Metlen Energy & Metals Group.
She is responsible for supporting the Group’s renewable energy business in Romania and, more recently, in Hungary, advising on all legal aspects of the acquisition, development, financing, construction and divestment of utility-scale renewable energy projects.
Working closely with senior management and business stakeholders, Ana-Maria provides strategic legal support across M&A transactions, project finance, EPC contracting, permitting, regulatory, corporate and dispute resolution matters.
She is recognised for combining strong technical legal expertise with a commercial mindset, enabling the business to achieve its strategic objectives while effectively managing legal and regulatory risk.
Ana-Maria believes that the role of an in-house lawyer is to be a strategic business partner, balancing legal risk with commercial objectives and helping the business successfully execute complex transactions and strategic projects through pragmatic, solution-oriented legal advice.
