Aly is an attorney specialising in general corporate advisory, as well as mergers and acquisitions. He is trilingual and accordingly, is capable of advising clients and providing legal support in three languages: English, French and Arabic. Aly holds a master’s degree in international business law from the Catholic University of Lyon and a master’s degree in French business law from the Lumière University Lyon 2. Furthermore, Aly has worked at a number of top-tier law firms in Egypt and also has experience in the non-profit and charity sectors in France and Egypt.
Aly has worked on a variety of high-profile matters for a number of key clients in the E-commerce, TMT, real estate, energy, NGO, pharmaceutical, financial services, consumer protection, education, insurance and other sectors. He has experience in incorporation, licensing and other governmental procedures, as well as drafting, reviewing, translating and negotiating commercial agreements and other legal documents. Aly has also advised prominent market actors on regulatory compliance, taxation, banking regulations, criminal and cybercrime proceedings, intellectual property, anti-competitive practices, data protection, employment, and many other fields of Law.
In addition to the legal field, Aly is a technology enthusiast and follows technological advancements, especially relating to artificial intelligence and legal tech, with the highest degree of interest and consequently, he occupies both the role of shareholder and legal consultant for several SMEs and startups. He is also passionate about creative and analytical writing and has his work, ranging from legal research papers to poems and satirical articles, regularly published.
