• 19+ years of relevant legal/commercial experience (including post-call law firm experience + multiple roles as Senior In-house / General Counsel / Legal Director):
– Managing high-profile cross-functional business projects, working with Senior Leadership and Global Teams.
– Co-managing a diverse Board of Directors and company secretariat.
– Leading and supporting regulatory compliance, corporate relations, breach management, brand protection and risk management.
– Providing legal advisory services. Areas of law include – General Corporate/Commercial Law, Labour Law, Intellectual Property, Energy (Oil & Gas and Power), Securities and Finance, Shipping and International Trade.
– Handling diverse civil (corporate & commercial) disputes: litigation, arbitration and ADR caseloads.
• Over 17 years’ practice as a Certified Negotiator, Mediator, ADR Practitioner & Trainer.
• In-depth knowledge of Nigerian Commercial Law, and the Rules, practice and procedures of various Nigerian Courts, Tribunals and ADR Institutions
