AI Governance is no longer a compliance issue – it is a board accountability issue.
I am a lawyer and an AI Governance counsel advising boards, C-suites and senior executives on enterprise digital risks, regulatory exposure and technology-enabled transformation.
With 30 years of cross-border experience spanning private practice and corporate in-house leadership, I operate at the intersection of AI governance, data & privacy regulations, cybersecurity, and technology contracts. I translate complex regulatory and technological developments into board-level oversight frameworks, accountable governance structures & resilient risk controls.
I currently serve as the Head of IT Legal Services APAC at DHL Group, one of the world’s most international logistics organisations (600,000+ employees globally), and listed in the German stock exchange.
My remit includes AI governance deployment, technology procurement & commercial contracting, and multi-jurisdictional regulatory compliance across ASEAN and APAC.
Core areas:
– AI Governance frameworks
– EU AI Act and AI legislation in ASEAN and APAC
– Enterprise digital and regulatory risks oversight
– Technology procurement & commercial contracting
– Cross-border data protection regimes (including PDPA MY & SG, GDPR, EU AI Act)
– Cybersecurity & information security policies & processes
– IT policy architecture in an MNC.
Beyond corporate practice, I contribute to the broader AI and data governance ecosystem:
– Industry Fellow, Centre for Digital Law, Singapore Management University (2025–2027)
– Global Ambassador of Global Council for Responsible AI Singapore Chapter (2025-2026)
– Lecturer, “ASEAN AI Ecosystem – Harmonising the Future,” Chulalongkorn University (ASEAN Business Investment Law Training Course – International Program), (2025–2026)
– Asia Advisory Board Member, International Association of Privacy Professionals (2024–2025).
In September 2025, I authored and published a book on “AI & Data Governance – A Guide for Professionals & Executives” available in Amazon, a practical reference for leaders navigating AI governance and enterprise risks.
I am dual-qualified lawyer in Malaysia (Advocate & Solicitor) and Australia (Legal Practitioner, NSW), and hold professional certifications in AI governance, data protection management, information security & legal technology.
I advise boards, C-suites, audit & risk committees, and senior executive leadership teams on AI accountability, enterprise digital hygiene, and AI & data governance in an increasingly regulated AI-driven environment.
