Luv presently serves as the Senior General Manager – Legal at Cummins India (Fortune 500 US MNC) and provides strategic oversight to its Components Segment Businesses (including Meritor – now Cummins Drivetrain and Braking Systems) and India Technical Organisation (Cummins Technical Centre India – R&D) on all Legal aspects. Luv sits on the staff of Components Segments Leadership Team and India Technical Organisation Leadership Team and also acts as the Compliance Officer for its Cummins Generator Technologies company in India. Prior to this role, Luv was the lead lawyer for Power Systems Business, Distribution Business and Corporate Functions of Cummins India with an additional responsibility of Ethics, India representative for Global Labour, Employment, Management Relations in the past.
Seasoned legal professional with over 17+ years of experience and armed with a prolific track record of demonstrating strategic leadership & employing domain expertise across general corporate, litigation and compliance for Fortune 100/500 companies. Adept at successfully resolving complex issues rooted in domestic & transnational business operations by dexterously securing favourable judgements for key projects. Possesses a rich experience of spearheading high-performing teams to orchestrate negotiation & closure of critical multi-billion-dollar contracts. Luv was recently recognised as India’s Inc. Young Leader (under 40) by Economic Times of India.
Also served as a Honorary Chairman with Indo-American Chambers of Commerce, Pune which is committed to promote bilateral trade, commerce and investments between India and US (https://www.iaccindia.com/pune/). Luv is also associated with Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Pune’s HR& IR Committee and International Chambers of Commerce (ICC)’s India Arbitration Group. Luv is also Committee Member at Symbiosis Law School, Selection Committee Member at Symbiosis Institute of International Business and Board of Studies at MIT World Peace University’s School of Law. Luv hold masters in Law and is a member of Institute of Company Secretaries of India. Luv is also a prospective member of Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, UK and is a recipient of Advance Leadership Program from Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta.
