– FIRST GENERAL COUNSEL (POLITICO): As first in-house Counsel, scaled legal department from 1 to 5 team members. Designed enterprise legal, risk, and compliance programs supporting 1100+ employees worldwide.
– COMPLIANCE (POLITICO): Identified compliance risks and executed mitigation plans. Established legal compliance architecture for cyber, HR & Employment, Advertising (GDPR, CIPA, CPRA), and other areas.
– CONTRACT MANAGEMENT/SALES (POLITICO): Partnered with commercial head of operations on compliant pricing strategies resulting in substantial increase in recurring revenue; designed end-to-end contract management process, with global templates to streamline sales enterprise-wide, accelerate contract approval times, and enable increased cross-selling/upselling of global products.
– COLLECTIVE BARGAINING, NO MEDIA STRIKE (POLITICO): Directed external labour counsel on legal strategy for first-ever POLITICO collective bargaining agreement; led union strategy and negotiations in Belgium, France, and UK.
– M&A/PARTNERSHIPS/DIVESTITURES (POLITICO): Led legal due diligence for all target acquisitions,
serving as key legal advisor for Go/No-Go decisions; integrated global acquisitions; negotiated highest revenue-generating and highest cost partnership and vendor agreements in company history; led legal divestiture of French downstream subsidiary (2025) and US affiliate (2022).
– FIRST-EVER PUBLIC/PRIVATE GOVERNMENTAL CYBER SHARING (NERC): Negotiated master services agreement governing NERC program that facilitated exchange of detailed cybersecurity information across electricity industry, NERC, DOE, and the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL).
– VENDOR CONTRACT PROCESS (NERC): Designed vendor contract process supporting 50 new contracts annually.
– CAPITOL HILL TESTIMONY (NERC): Legal liaison to Director of Legislative and Regulatory Affairs. Assisted with preparation of Capitol Hill testimony and testimony before Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC).
