I am a General Counsel and legal innovator with over 20 years of experience building legal departments from the ground up, protecting businesses across regulated markets, and navigating the intersection of law, technology, and corporate governance, always with one eye on the legal detail and the other on the business outcome.
I am passionate about data privacy and artificial intelligence two forces reshaping the legal landscape right now.
I have spent my career not just advising on compliance, but designing the frameworks, policies, and governance structures that allow companies to grow with confidence in healthcare, retail, tech, and financial services.
Leveraging my expertise as Data Protection Officer, Compliance Officer, and General Counsel in internationally listed multinational companies, I have built and led legal departments across Europe and Latin America, advised Boards of Directors, and turned complex regulatory requirements into clear organisational strategy. I believe the best legal counsel is not the one who says no, it is the one who finds the right way forward.
Here are a few key highlights of my career:
– Built the Legal & Compliance department at Amplifon (Borsa di Milano) from zero to a team of eight, implementing GDPR, AML, whistleblowing, and full compliance programmes.
– Served as DPO and led the global privacy strategy at Amplifon, managing cross-border data incidents and coordinating with regulators and auditors across multiple jurisdictions.
– Drove GDPR implementation and corporate governance from scratch across EMEA at Swarovski, covering legal operations across Europe and Latin America.
– Currently advising AI technology companies building LLM platforms and AI-driven products on legal frameworks for AI systems, data licensing, and SOC audits. This is where law meets the future, and I love it.
I am genuinely curious about technology, I follow the evolution of AI regulation closely, and I believe the legal profession has a critical role to play in making AI trustworthy and responsible.
