I am the General Counsel at Skillz (NYSE: SKLZ), the leading technology gaming platform. In my role as General Counsel, I oversee the company’s legal, compliance, and regulatory matters, including corporate governance, strategic transactions, and commercial contracts. I leverage a decade-plus of experience in corporate and securities matters as a former associate at Am Law 25 (King & Spalding) and Am Law 100 firms (Womble Bond Dickinson (US), Carlton Fields, Dykema).
During my Biglaw years, I specialised in representing large and mid-size public and private companies, including private equity firms, in mergers and acquisitions, financing transactions, and general corporate counseling. I led due diligence and legal documentation for numerous M&A transactions and guided on corporate governance best practices, regulatory issues, and SEC reporting. Additionally, I trained and mentored junior and mid-level associates.
As a legal leader, I am known for being a strategist and pragmatist who maximises output with limited resources and is focused on achieving economic outcomes that yield shareholder and long-term company value. I bring a global perspective, allowing me to connect with non-legal teams across the globe.
Fun facts about me: I’ve written a children’s book and contributed to a series of 18 children’s novels.
