Draft and review legal documents for Public-Private Partnership (PPP) projects, ensuring compliance with construction, procurement, and corporate regulations. Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients to safeguard company interests. Oversee and witness the preparation and certification of tender documents, ensuring compliance with public procurement and company requirements. Conduct due diligence on potential partners and suppliers to minimise legal and financial risks, including investigations into regulatory matters such as environmental compliance, competition law, power sector regulations, and other legislation that could impact project delivery, providing proactive legal advice and mitigation strategies. Draft demand letters and represent the company in settlement negotiations and facilitate recovery of outstanding payments – successfully reclaimed funds owed by a supplier. Ensure company compliance with relevant laws, including construction, labour, environment law and corporate regulations. Certify documents submitted for tenders, bids, and legal correspondence. Advise management on risk management, contract enforcement, and dispute resolution strategies. Support the finance and operations teams by ensuring all legal documents are properly executed and filed.
